Programmable Stepper Drive Reduces Design Time-Scales

Rotalink has extended its range of low-cost stepper motor drives with a new programmable model for unipolar, six-lead motors. Capable of providing 24V at 1A, with a choice of full-step, half-step or wave drive output, the SM04 requires no control circuitry, thus slashing design time-scale and costs.

The SM04 is available in two configurations: a standard version that will run the motor at a speed determined by an integral potentiometer or external clock, and a second version that can be pre programmed by Rotalink to run a sequence of moves, based on the customer's own specification.
