Mccbs For The Iec Regulated Market

Rockwell Automation has released the Allen-Bradley 140UE series moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB), a new version of its 140U series that addresses the 'global' IEC regulated market. OEMs selling equipment into the European markets and those countries adopting European standards will now be able to incorporate these new MCCBs into their products.Products are available in frame sizes H, J, L and N, with current ratings from 15-160A , 70-250A, 250-630A and 600-1,600A respectively. According to Rockwell, Bulletin 140UE MCCBs offer a kA/mm2 interrupt rating up to 60% higher than comparable frame-sized products from other manufacturers. Both thermal-magnetic and electronic trip types are available, in three- and four-pole versions. The new MCCBs are supported by a range of accessories, including trip alarms, auxiliary shields, under-voltage release and shunt trips, and all are interchangeable between the different frame sizes.
