Touch-Button Switches Are Easy On The Operator

Allen-Bradley 'Zero-Force' touch-buttons from Rockwell Automation are based on field-effect technology, so they do not require any pressure to activate them; they are also ergonomically styled for repetitive activation, their contoured surfaces mimicking the shape of a human palm - a combination that significantly reduces the risk of repetitive strain injury. Two independent sensors register the operator's touch and convert it into an electrical output. Both sensors must be activated within 0.2s for the operation to begin, making the device intelligent enough to distinguish between human touch and that of foreign objects. Meeting CE and UL standards, the touch buttons are available in general purpose and heavy industrial styles, both IP66 rated.
