Balluff has introduced an easy-to-install Profibus panel module that mounts inside the control panel with just four screws. Thanks to its Profibus interface, this IP 67 protected unit avoids the need for expensive I/O or analogue cards. When used in conjunction with Balluff sensor hubs and valve terminal connectors, up to 96 digital and analogue I/Os can be connected to the control panel via just four standard 3-core cables, making it ideal for small to medium sized machines and equipment. And thanks to a separate actuator power source, devices such as hydraulic valves or pneumatic valve units can be switched off separately.
