Portable HMI aids troubleshooting
Rockwell Automation's MobileView family of portable thin client HMIs
enable operators to move around the machine they are controlling at a
distance of up to 20m from the fixed HMI or control station. The terminal
is connected to the fixed HMI via a cable carrying power and Ethernet
communications link. MobileView interfaces can be integrated into new or
existing control architectures, thanks to thin client technology. No
additional software is required as this resides within a remote server.
Two versions are currently available, the Machine Terminal for real time
machine monitoring and control, and Guard Terminal, which is more
suitable for troubleshooting and maintenance in gated or safety critical
areas. Soon to be released is a wireless version, the MobileView Tablet.
All feature 7in VGA touch screen and keypad, and run Windows CE based
applications.
