Connecting low-cost DeviceNet networks with 'KwikLink'
A general purpose DeviceNet media system, based on a low-profile
connector and flexible, flat cable, has been introduced by Rockwell
Automation. KwikLink allows circular drop cables to be connected to the
flat trunk cable, allowing nodes to be added without interrupting the
network. The connector is just 32mm deep and its two-piece design simply
snaps to the cable at any point and is screwed down, to make contact with
the conductors through the insulation.
