Rittal and Eplan get it together
Electrical engineering CAD package, Eplan has now been fully integrated
into Rittal's product range. Eplan facilities include automatic
generation of PLC schematics from an I/O list, plus a data exchange
program that transfers I/O data to and from InterBus-S fieldbus
applications. The package even allows you to design to specific
standards, including IEC, DIN or JIC. Manufacturers' components can be
selected from a database and, based on the dimensional information stored
against each component, the software will generate panel and door layout
diagrams and bills of materials. Point-to-point wiring lists, cable and
connector data are all available, and project device, terminal and cable
data can be output to a plotter to produce identification tags for the
components.
