Rittal And Phoenix Contact Get Connected

Two prominent companies in the enclosures and electrical connectors market sectors - Rittal and Phoenix Contact respectively - have collaborated to ease the design of terminal rail assemblies when using electrical project management software. Essentially, Rittal has provided an interface within its EPlan computer-aided electrical engineering software, for Phoenix Contact's CLIPSelect terminal strip configuration software tool. Termination data in Eplan is automatically transferred to the CLIPSelect module, which configures an appropriate DIN rail terminal system based on function, engineering parameters and product type preferences. CLIPSelect even provides a graphic of the complete terminal assembly, including end-stops and bridging plates, which are applied automatically by the software.
