The RiCool low height, variable speed blower from Rittal can be mounted
side by side in a sub-rack to provide effective cooling of densely packed
VME or Compact PCI rack-mounted systems at a flow rate of 220cfm per
blower (0in of water static pressure). Air drawn up through the boards is
exhausted through the rear of the sub-rack in just 1U of rack space by a
powerful, backward curved impeller. At a static pressure of 0.25in of
water, RiCool blowers each provide more than 90cfm of air and will
continue to cool at static pressures in excess of 1.0in of water -
exceeding the specification of conventional 19in rack mounted axial fan
trays. Additional features include an alarm output via fan speed sensor,
speed control, easy access and hot-swap capability.
