Enclosures play a dual role in this machine build

Rittal floor standing enclosures form a significant part of the structure of Molins ITCM's new 'Cafusa' coffee bag making machine.

The enclosures are not only used for housing the operating devices and electrical control equipment, which is DIN rail mounted on the rear wall, as usual, but they are also used to enclose the machine's transmission devices, including motor, gearbox, main cams, belts and pulleys.

Rittal's pre-punched enclosure frame format and wide range of brackets and cross members simplified equipment installation, and avoided the need to punch or drill on site. Indeed, the Molins team made good use of this flexible mounting system to find the optimum fastening positions during the prototyping stages.
