Shaft-mounted helical gear units offer 35% more power rating
The new SMXtra range of shaft-mounted helical gear units from Renold
Gears has 35% more power rating, compared with previous models, without
any increase in overall dimensions. Both parallel bore and single taper
bush mountings are available, the latter allowing easy removal.
Meanwhile, a new double taper hub allows the bush to be fitted from
either side of the gear unit. Single or double reduction units can be
supplied, with gear ratios up to 25:1 and power capacities from 0.3 to
173kW.
