Rapid prototyping specialist, 3D Systems has introduced a flexible and durable thermopolymer for ThermoJet, its solid object printing system, which converts 3D CAD designs into solid models using a process similar to inkjet printing. The new material, ThermoJet 2000, has been tested by BOC, where models are used as communication and design verification tools, with components even being investment cast directly from the ThermoJet models.
