Faulhaber has added the PA2-50 and PA2-100 models to its optical encoder range for dc micro-motors. Now available fromts exclusive UK distributor, Electro Mechanical Systems, these high-resolution, low current draw optical encoders measure just 6mm diameter and offer a resolution of 50 lines per revolution (100 lines/revolution in diameters 8-12mm). These battery-friendly devices operate from a 2.7-3.3V supply and draw just 8.5mA.
