Machine Safety Directive: a free downloadable guide

Safety and compliance consultancy, Laidler Associates is making available a free, downloadable guide to the new Machinery Directive, which is due to come into force on December 29 2009. Entitled: A practical guide to machinery safety, the new guide covers legislation, including EMC and Low Voltage Directives, the ATEX Directive and the very latest information on the new Machinery Directive. It also covers risk assessment and hazard analysis, includes step-by-step advice on CE marking and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).

Paul Laidler of Laidler Associates says the guide is written to benefit both machine builders and end users. Both sides need a good understanding of the legislation and processes, he says, and this guide will help bridge the gap between the two.

The guide can be downloaded from the Laidler website.
