It was blustery day at the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwick. After being somewhat weather beaten heading into the conference centre, the event went down a storm with the attendees. Despite the tough economic climate Zuken drew in over 70 of their customers and prospects from across the UK (plus exhibitors and third party speakers), all eager to soak up the relaxed friendly atmosphere, learn more about Zuken and their solutions, and find out the latest industry trends. Not forgetting the opportunity to sit in the latest Jaguar XJ not even in mass production yet, that was to round off the hugely popular presentation from the chief interior and chief exterior design manager from Jaguar.
This event was unlike any of the previous local seminars/come technology day type events hosted by Zuken in the UK over recent years; it had earned the right to be called a conference. There was a decent forum of exhibitors including; Jaltek, Inteconics, STI Limited and First EDA - plus media partners DP&A and PSB. For the first time it also saw Zuken representing their total UK market, partnering with their E³.series resellers High Peak Systems and CADSTAR distributors Quadra Solutions. Zuken had also flown in people from across Europe, including product and application specialists, all of whom were very approachable, open and willing to be quizzed on anything and everything.
Attendees had lots of great things to say about the day, commenting on their overall summary of the event is Graeme Miller from Nokia UK "I got the feeling that Zuken are a stable and well directed partner."
Attendees came from companies of all industries and sizes including the big corporates such as Panasonic, Bombardier, Honeywell Process Solutions, Mercedes, Lockheed Martin, MBDA, Siemens, Raymarine, GE Aviation and Invensys Rail, to SMEs including Team Consulting, Toucan Systems, JLT Designs…plus many many more.
