Rittal has introduced a radial fan for rack mounted electronic systems that is 1U in height and capable of removing up to 300m3/h of air. A development of the Ricool blower for CompactPCI, Ricool II offers 50% more throughput and almost double the static pressure without any increase in size. When used in two tiers at the top of an AdvancedTCA shelf, Ricool II can keep the temperature within PICMG 3 guidelines and provide 200W/slot of cooling.
