Profil has added aluminium variants to its pierce nut and stud assembly
system for non-structural sheet metal construction. Available with M6-M12
threads in four clinch nut and flanged stud forms, the new fasteners are
suitable for use with aluminium and magnesium alloy materials with up to
4mm wall thickness. Profil says the fasteners provide as much as 85% of
the performance of equivalent steel parts, with the added advantage of
corrosion resistance and low weight.
