HepcoMotion designs and manufactures linear motion systems to suit every type of automation environment and this ability is complemented by a similar diversity in its DualVee Motion Technology range from BishopWisecarver. With the introduction of low temperature DualVee wheels, now available in the UK from HepcoMotion, the application scope for this established product programme has been significantly enhanced. DualVee systems can now be specified for automation systems in aerospace, refrigeration and other sub-zero climates.
DualVee is a popular choice for anti-friction guidance mechanisms, typically in pick-and-place units and packaging machinery that does not require the high precision of the HepcoMotion GV3 system. It comprises three basic components – tracks, guide wheels and bushings – all of which can be individually supplied to give the user maximum design flexibility and cost-efficiency.
The new low temperature additions to the wheel range are available in sizes 1 to 4. They feature 440C stainless steel balls and races and 304 stainless steel retainers. A specially formulated lubricant allows them to withstand service temperatures from -70°C to +110°C. They join a wealth of other DualVee® wheel options that includes high temperature, wash-down, clean room and stainless steel versions.
DualVee guide wheels can be provided with custom or customer-supplied lubricants generally within a three week lead time. Lubrication free wheels can also be specified for applications such as food processing and medical device manufacture where non-contamination by grease is a pre-requisite.
