Workshops Reflect Changes On Uk Safety Legislation Front .

Safety Workshops reflect changes on UK safety legislation front Reflecting changing requirements for machinery safety in the UK, the Interactive Machinery Safety workshops organised in association with Laidler Associates, Pilz Automation Technology and Proctor Machinery Guarding are being completely revised for 2003. New for this year are workshops covering the ATEX Directive (due for adoption here in July 2003), the Pressure Equipment Directive and BS EN 61508 (functional safety of electrical/electronic/programmable electronic safety related systems). There will also be a shift in emphasis so that less time will be devoted to the content of the legislation and standards. Instead, more practical advice will be given on how to comply with the requirements. Each workshop will be limited to 25 delegates. They are taking place in Corby on May 1 and Leeds on May 22, and the organiser promises more dates and venues for the rest of the year. Cost per delegate is £150 (plus VAT), including lunch and course material.
