IS process interface modules need less cabinet space
The space-saving Process Interface line from Phoenix Contact includes a
base terminal block measuring just 12.4mm wide, plus easily coded,
intrinsically safe (IS) isolation modules of similar width. The base
terminal blocks can be integrated directly on the marshalling level,
further reducing cabinet space requirements. The self-coding electronic
modules, including IS analogue I/O, digital I/O and programmable
transmitters, are subsequently mounted to provide the required
functionality. Spare capacity can be planned economically during
installation of the terminal blocks, as the cost associated with the
electronics is not incurred until commissioning.
