Cabinet Air Conditioners For Hazardous Areas

Pfannenberg's new DTS-Ex 7x41 cabinet air conditioner range is approved for use in hazardous areas zone 1 (gas) and zone 21 (dust). Available in four capacities from 1,500W to 3,500W, all versions fit a common cabinet cut-out, and achieve an internal air flow rate of 560m3/h. The DTS-EX unit can be used in conjunction with an approved pressurised enclosure to house standard, off-the-shelf electrical components in the hazardous location, thus saving the cost of special flameproof or intrinsically safe equipment. The unit is factory set to maintain a steady 35oC within the cabinet, and an alarm is signalled in the event of the internal temperature reaching to 50oC.
