Parvalux has introduced a range of compact (56mm diameter) permanent magnet dc motors, the PM 7, 8 and 9, covering lower power ratings from 7.5 to 80W. The IP 54 protected motors can be used with voltages from 12 to 200V and offer a speed range from 8,000rpm down to 1rpm (with gearbox), and a peak torque of 45Nm. There's a big choice of gearboxes to go with these units, including single reduction worm gear, double-reduction worm, inline double reduction and multi-spur. Gear materials include composites for quieter running or bronze for higher output torque. These die-cast gearboxes are equipped with ball bearings and are lubricated for life. Options include double-ended motor/gearbox spindles, non-standard shafts, electromechanical brake and tachogenerator. A dc motor controller is also available to provide a speed range of 25:1.
