Banner’s SC22-3 safety controller is an easy to configure safety module that incorporates numerous input devices and manages multiple safety-related functions. The unit features 22 input terminals, which monitor both contact-based and PNP solid-state input devices. Each input circuit is configurable to monitor an input signal or provide 24V dc sources when needed. The SC22-3 is easily configured using Banner’s intuitive PC Interface or the module’s built-in LCD display and push buttons.
The SC22-3 dramatically reduces the time and complexity of interfacing multiple safety functions and devices by incorporating them into one easily configurable device which meets safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 per IEC 62061 and IEC 61508, and Category 4 Performance Level (PL e) per ISO 13849-1 standards.
