Ultra-compact linear positioning tables that combine speed and accuracy
with high load carrying capacity have been added to Parker Hannifin
Electromechanical Division's (Digiplan's) range. The 406XR series comes
in 14 different travel lengths, spanning 100 to 2,000mm, and a load
capacity up to 6kN. Features include a robust extruded aluminium body of
compact profile (150mm wide by 70mm high), square rail carriage support
bearings for maximum load-carrying capacity and a ball screw drive with
angular contact bearings to ensure smooth positioning. The standard
tables provide repeatable positioning to +/-5.0 micron, while the
precision versions improve repeatability to just +/-1.3 micron. Maximum
speed and acceleration are 1,500mm/s and 20,000mm/s/s respectively.
