Bladder Accumulators Tolerate High Contaminant Level

Parker Hannifin's new ABE range of bladder accumulators for Hydraulic systems come in five optional compounds for use with all common hydraulic fluids, and are claimed to be more tolerant of contamination compared with other accumulator types. The shells are constructed from seamless chrome-molybdenum alloy steel with forged ends, offering maximum strength. The tolerance to contamination is enhanced by the absence of dynamic sealing surfaces. With no static friction to overcome or piston mass to accelerate, bladder accumulators offer fast response times, retaining their high performance over a wide range of operating conditions, including closed loop operation. A range of volumes is available up to 48.5 litres and the maximum working pressure ranges from 210 to 420bar.
