ifm electronic’s new cabled O5 range of photoelectric sensors includes the O5H diffuse unit , which is able to distinguish a target from its background 1.8m away with precision. The O5P retro-reflective version covers 10m, or more on a reflector larger than 80mm diameter, while the O5E/O5S through-beam units can be mounted 25m apart. Visible red light makes alignment easy even over these long distances, and the pushbutton adjustment ensures that the right sensitivity is selected for the job. This pushbutton is also used to select light/dark operation and to operate the electronic lock facility
Operating from a 10 to 36Vd supply, the O5 range will switch a 200mA load, PNP with an environmental protection rating of IP67.
A range of mounting accessories, including steel covers is offered to help install and protect the sensors.
