Foremost Electronics has introduced two vandal resistant metal keypads featuring metal keys, which are IP67 protected. The units are rear panel mounted through a single large cut-out with an optional rubber gasket for additional weatherproof sealing. Two versions are available, the AK-304-N-SSL-WP-MM 3 x 4 numeric key only keypad or the AK-1604-N-SSL-WP-MM 4 x 4 numeric plus a row of “A,B,C,D” lettered keys. Custom legend options are available with a minimum order quantity of 2,000 pieces plus nominal tooling costs.
Switch contact ratings are 20mA at 24Vdc with maximum contact resistance of 200Ω. Life expectancy is 2,000,000 cycles per key at an operating temperature range of -40 to +60°C. Keypads may be specified with or without LED illumination.
