Display Solutions has bucked the downward economic trend by reporting growth and announcing a key new appointment to its sales team by recruiting Jill Ford (pictured), who returns to the company after an eight-year absence. Jill has spent her career in the electronics industry and rejoins the Huntingdon-based team at a time when the company is enjoying successes across many sectors, including medical, transport and retail.
"I'm delighted to be back with a business that has experienced such growth," she commented. "I think it shows that ambitious companies can thrive regardless of the economic climate and what Display Solutions has excelled at is providing cost-effective, bespoke products for its customers without the lengthy turnaround times that larger companies have to factor in. It is big enough to have influence with its suppliers, yet small enough to be flexible and adaptable. It's exciting to be associated with a company that can offer customers such a dynamic service."
In addition to system design and implementation, the company has also introduced a breakthrough in optical-bonding techniques for sunlight readability, and a multi-user touchscreen with gesturing capabilities available in formats up to 72in.
Managing director Cheng Yoe has guided the company through its growth and is bullish about the future: "It's great to have Jill's professionalism and experience to call on, particularly when I think both technically and commercially we are giving the market what it needs. In economically tough times your customers expect you to work harder for them - and that's what we do."
