A threadlocker for plated surfaces

Loctite 276 is a new anaerobic high strength threadlocker that achieves fast fixture on all metal substrates, including nickel and other plated surfaces. In addition, it provides good sealing performance and excellent thermal and shock resistance. The product, which cures reliably even at low temperatures, can withstand up to +150°C

A key feature of this product is that it reduces the effect of substrate on the cure speed. Active substrates, such as copper alloys, are very good in initiating the rapid cure process of anaerobic products. Conversely, substrates like nickel or chrome plated parts, are passive – which results in earlier anaerobic adhesives attaining a much slower cure. Loctite 276 reduces this passive effect, resulting in a smaller cure speed envelope when assembling a range of different substrates.

In addition to its uses within general industry, Loctite 276 has European gas approval (EN-751-1) making it ideal for gas pipes, valves and connectors.
