Operating principle
In the MPV Flow Meter , it is the passage of fluid over the set of three screws that causes the device to rotate, unlike the three-screw pump, which moves a fluid when it is driven by an applied force, whether it be an electric motor or a PTO of some kind. The special shape of the screws ensures that their rotation corresponds with exact volumes, quantitatively determined by a highly dependable sensor .
The resulting signal, square wave , may be acquired directly by the PLC or processed by dedicated electronics, the FD20 giving the most comprehensive results for data analysis.

The FD20 data logging unit represents optimal solution for monitoring and managing signals coming from different sources, with specific care to a user friendly interface, to reliability and stability and, last but not least, price oriented solution on the market.
Easy and simple setting is supported by pre-set parameters of all MPV Series Flow Meters . (Setting menu grants immediate selection of the I/P source).
Because the FD20 will manage multiple input signals, it represents optimal choice wherever it is necessary to relate the volumetric data from the MPV Series Flow Meter to other parameters, such as pressure and temperature.
