OKW Enclosures has developed a special case system for electronic
assemblies that need to be 'fast-locked' to DIN rails. Railtec
'installation cases' comprise two basic parts: a base section, which
carries the mounting points and a top section (provided in three
versions) that accept a variety of termination styles. The variants
include terminals, PCB plug headers and front connectors. Access to the
terminals is very easy, and electrical connection and disconnection can
be carried out without removing the top section. Alternative front
connection is also possible. In addition to the base and top sections,
there is a transparent lid with integral locking clip to protect the
internal electronics and display. The fully insulated cases are available
in four sizes and supplied as standard in PPO (base section) and
polycarbonate (top section and lid).
