Alwayse Engineering has supplied 110,000 of its 805 Series ball transfer
units for a huge new cargo handling complex at Newark International
Airport in the USA. The units, each of which has a load bearing capacity
of 350kg, will form a 45,000ft2 ball deck - one of the largest in the
world. There are 146 different units in the 805 range, with capacities
from 10kg to 4,000kg. A key feature of the Alwayse range is the
multi-hole base that allows dust and contaminants to fall free of the
load bearing balls, thus prolonging their useful life.
