PC software eases set-up of vision system

Up until now, a keypad was used to configure the compact, high-speed machine vision Imagechecker PV500 from Panasonic. Thanks to the new software, PVWIN, you can now set up the PV500 using a PC or notebook. Thanks to its attractive and intuitive graphical user interface, this Windows software allows even inexperienced users to quickly programme efficient checking routines. Communication to the PV500 hardware can take place either via USB or Ethernet.

PVWIN can be used independently, i.e. without having to be connected to a PV500 controller, to create or simulate checking programs. Morever, images stored on the PV500's SD card can be analyzed by PVWIN offline, for example to determine the cause of a judgment "Not Good", or to optimize checking parameters at one's leisure.

The combination of the Imagechecker PV500 and PVWIN offers the advantages of a reliable stand-alone machine vision hardware and the user-friendliness and flexibility of a PC-based software.
