Re-Vamped Vegetable Peeler Machine Needs No Lubrication

Peter Cox Marketing has re-engineered its range of vegetable peeler machines, which now benefits from a bearing system that requires no re-lubrication. Bearing re-lubrication is undesirable in a food processing environment, so the company turned to NSK for its 'Molded Oil' technology, which provides a bearing that is essentially lubricated and sealed for life. Molded Oil bearings are filled with a plastic containing lubricating oil, and are particularly effective in operating environments exposed to water and dust contamination. The types used on the peeler machines are spherical roller bearings, which replace a previous ball bearing system that prematurely failed due to misalignment of the main roller as it became worn.
