Linear Guides Are Lightweight, Quiet And Clean

NSK says its PU series miniature precision linear guides are around 20% lighter than conventional equivalents and, thanks to their resin recirculation circuits, are considerably smoother and quieter in operation. This latter feature ensures a softer contact between the steel balls and recirculation holes, resulting in improved dynamic friction characteristics and smoother motion of the slider on the The lack of metal-to-metal contact also means that the PU guide produces less dust, making it a suitable option for clean room applications. Where dust ingress is a problem, there are also side seals to both faces of the ball slide, plus added protection in the form of a labyrinth structure on the bottom face of the ball slider, providing the equivalent of an underseal for the guide. PU guides are manufactured to four accuracy standards, from ultra-precision to semi-precision, and are available with rail widths of 9, 12 and 15mm, and rail lengths from 600 to 1,000mm. The maximum dynamic load capacity ranges from 1,180N to 4,300N.
