Modular assembly for 50 and 70mm signal towers

The Patlite LU series of signal towers available on the Techdrives website now has new options for reduced size, strobe flashing and a voice module. The LU series is available with body diameter of 50 and 70mm. Up to 5 colour modules with LED bulbs and a special prism design for maximum brightness can be fitted. Using LED bulbs means a long maintenance free life and low current consumption, typically 50mA per colour.

A number of new innovations extend the LU range. A compact body available on the 70mm towers reduces the height by almost 100mm. Three body colours are now available, in white, sliver and black. For extra attention-grabbing visibility, a double flash strobe option is available, alternatively an MP3 supported voice and sound module can deliver a message of up to 32 seconds from 4 selections. Mounting can be by base, wall or pole. A new option here is a magnetic base that avoids the need to cut into the machine surface and can be repositioned easily.

The modularity of the LU range is remarkable. Light modules in 5 possible colours can be assembled by hand (no special tools needed) in any sequence. Indeed the colour sequence can be changed after assembly without needing to rewire. Only 9 basic components cover the options for each size improving availability and reducing costs.

LU signal towers have enclosure protection to IP65 and approvals to CE, cUL and RoHS. Another option is a simple audible alarm at up to 90dB which has two selectable tones. Product details are given on the website www.techdrives.co.uk
