Bearings For Vacuum Environments

NSK's Spacea range of bearings now includes two new versions that are suitable for use in high temperature, vacuum environments. These self-lubricating cage and spacer joint types are suitable for 200°C/10-7Pa and 350°C/10-10Pa conditions respectively, and are claimed to offer longer operating life thanks to the steady supply of lubricant - a sintered molybdenum disulphide material provided by the spacer joint. This material also exhibits very low outgassing.
