Big performance from Cat Pumps’ 3560 triplex plunger pump

Cat Pumps (UK) has extended its 35 Frame plunger pump range with the introduction of its Model 3560. Building on the performance of the highly popular 3520 Series, the Model 3560 has a high strength pumphead and is capable of providing pressure up to 275 bar and flow rates of 76litres/minute. Featuring an uprated drive end, the 3560 provides an exceptionally high output from a pump of this size, weight and cost. Being a triplex plunger design, the 3560 gives a constant smooth flow making it ideally suited to a wide range of industrial processing, cleaning and pressure-jetting duties. The V-packings are fully lubricated and are cooled by the pumped liquid, whilst the Lubricated Lo-Pressure Seals provide protection against external leakage.

In keeping with Cat Pumps’ quality commitment, the 3560 has been designed and constructed for optimum operating life and easy maintenance. The high strength connecting rods and plunger rods, together with oversized crankshaft bearings give a greater load capacity and longer drive-end and bearing life.

“The arrival of the Model 3560 for the UK and Irish markets emphasises Cat Pumps’ commitment to extending the operating range of its products and offering the most appropriate pump for every market sector,” says General Manager Brian Hubbard. “With its light weight and compact size, the 3560 will appeal to a broad range of original equipment designers looking to extend the performance of their own plant and processing systems. The initial reaction to the arrival of this new pump has been very encouraging and we have already sold a number of the pumps into Ireland through Euroquipe, where they are being used on mobile road washing plant.”

Euroquipe is Ireland’s largest reseller of Cat Pumps and have a number of successful 3560 installations. Commenting on the introduction of the Model 3560 Barry Holland, Sales Manager at Euroquipe said: “We find the 3560 gives us the performance we need for our high pressure tanker customers. Because these tankers are sold as multifunction machines for applications such as road washing, drain jetting, and other high pressure washing, they are under constant demand and the customers cannot afford downtime. Performance and reliability are a must and these are the main reasons why we constantly recommend Cat Pumps.”
