The National Physical Laboratory has announced the start of the second phase of DTI-funded research into predicting the performance of plastics under impact loading. The main aim will be to demonstrate the effectiveness of finite element analysis, and users of FEA packages, Abacus, Oasys and others, will find the project results of immediate interest.
