National Instruments has introduced a compact machine vision system using
LabVIEW based hardware, that brings IEEE1394 (FireWire) connectivity to a
variety of imaging sensors, including Sony and Basler cameras. The
CVS-1454 system is capable of handling multiple camera inputs, from
high-resolution mega-pixel cameras for gauging small objects to low cost
monochrome cameras for OCR applications, so there is no need to purchase
separate devices to match specific camera types. Developers can also take
advantage of FireWire technology while choosing the resolution and speed
of their cameras to match specific application needs.
