Modular PXI Analyser Exploits Pentium Ghz Speeds

It is now possible to perform RF measurements up to 200 times faster using the new Pentium processor based NI PXI-5660 2.7GHz RF signal analyser from National Instruments. The modular unit combines spectral measurement software with a broadband 2.7GHz RF digitiser, featuring 80dB+ dynamic range. The analyser's 'virtual instrument' architecture delivers the full range of standard RF power, frequency, spectral and vector measurements, while offering users the freedom to define their own unique applications via LabVIEW's advanced signal processing and visualisation capabilities. The broadband capability and deep memory of the PXI-5660 can be used to capture both instantaneous frequency and phase information, while analysis tools within LabVIEW allow advanced I/Q and modulation measurements to be made.
