The Danaher 'Direct Drives' range of linear and rotary brushless motors,
which is available in the UK from Motor Technology, provides smooth,
backlash-free motion and high acceleration directly to the application
without the need for couplings, gearboxes, belts or chains. Both the
linear and rotary versions can be supplied with high-resolution encoders,
and the linear motor is also available with Hall effect sensors for lower
accuracy applications.
