Morgan Advanced Ceramics' Wesgo Metals division reports the capability to
produce melt-spun foil in widths of up to 250mm. Foils can be produced
from a variety of alloys, including palladium-based, copper-based and
nickel-based materials. unlike powder and paste products of the same
alloy, melt-spun foils do not produce airborne particulates. Ductile
foils with a typical thickness of 0.05mm are suitable for large
cross-section applications such as heat exchangers or for cutting into
preformed shapes.
