Shaft collars for retrofits

New from Ruland Manufacturing Company is a series of one- and two-piece clamp-style shaft collars especially suitable for retrofits and new designs of equipment for a global market. Called the International Series, these clamp-style shaft collars feature inch or metric bores, DIN 12.9 socket headed cap screws, high grade materials and finishes, and an attractive yet practical form. The use of metric screws with inch bores is especially useful when either retrofitting or designing equipment with inch shafts for worldwide use.

International shaft collars from Ruland are available in high grade aluminium with an anodised finish and stainless steel screws, lead-free carbon steel, stainless steel and engineered plastic. Bores sizes offered range from 3mm (1/8”) to 150mm (6”). Ruland shaft collars are manufactured with close attention to the face to bore relationship, ensuring good alignment and a functional interface for some bearings. Proprietary processes are used to ensure a proper fit on the shaft and high level of holding power.

Shaft collars are part of Ruland’s complete product line which also includes rigid couplings with precision honed bores and five types of zero-backlash motion control couplings: beam couplings, bellows couplings, oldham couplings, curved jaw couplings and miniature disc couplings.
