3M's new VHB double-sided, pre-powder coat acrylic foam tapes (series
4611) bond securely to metal prior to painting. They are formulated to
cope with the high temperatures of curing ovens, and provide the
durability and strength of mechanical fasteners without damaging surface
finishes. By eliminating rivets and spot welds, problems with corrosion
do not arise, and the stress point loads associated with mechanical
fixings are reduced.
