Nanomotion’s Edge motor is suitable for air and land based applications that face extreme temperature and vibration challenges. It is currently supporting a multitude of applications in several different industries, with several military applications.
The Edge motor is a low voltage motor that is supported with a dual axis ASIC that can serve as a drive only or drive and control for the two axes of motion. The ASIC can close the position loop with an external feedback signal and can operate from battery power or low voltage power source.
It operates linear and rotary devices with a maximum velocity of 150mm/sec, and a maximum force of 30g (3N). Its highest resolution is 1um, and weighing 0.6g, the motor has dimensions of 13.5mm x 7.6mm x 3.1mm.
