Wireless unit takes process data transmission to next step

The Panasonic KR20 Wireless Unit takes process data transmission to the next step. In addition to security being tighter than ever, cable clutter and installation marathons have seemingly become a thing of the past.

All KR20 units are equipped with an RS232 interface, and can be configured as either master or slave stations. Furthermore, depending on the type, they feature either an additional RS485 interface or digital (NPN or PNP) inputs/outputs. Using the integrated Configurator KR tool, even the most complex wireless networks are easy to set up.

The new high-speed KR20 Wireless Unit offers superfast data transfer at 2.4GHz band with high-security transmission, along with effortless network integration with a variety of terminal station devices. A total of eight direct digital inputs/outputs are available per unit (input/output type), and configuration of complex wireless networks is simple and fast. Up to 254 terminals can be connected to a single master (up to 99 KR20 slaves, each of which is connectable to up to 31 terminal stations via RS485 interface), thus practically eliminating wiring expenses.
