The new Micropump I-Drive pump package, which is available from Michael
Smith Engineers, is some 20% smaller than previous generation products,
yet it offers the same power and capacity of these larger models. The
unit combines pump-head, brushless dc motor and electronic controller in
a single unit that can deliver up to 3.2 litre/min at 7bar differential
pressure. The pump is indirectly driven, protecting the motor against
shock loading and prolonging its service life.
