A new variable speed drive option has been added to the Micropump range
of gear pumps from Michael Smith Engineers. The IP55 protected MPD55D
drive can be programmed to accept a wide range of Micropump heads and can
also be set to deliver required flow rate or volume - the latter
controlled either locally or via an external signal - making it suitable
for metering or dosing applications. Speed is controllable over the range
100 to 3,000rpm, so depending on which pump head you select, you can
obtain a flow range from 1.7 to 3,300ml/min with outlet pressures to
8.6bar.
