Torque Limiting Clutch Is Pneumatically Controlled

The EAS-Sp pneumatically controlled torque-limiting clutch from Mayr offers backlash-free torque transmission and synchronous (single position) re-engagement. The disengagement torque is controlled by 1.5-6bar air pressure, which can be set for a high starting torque, or to control the clutch for 'on-off' applications. An integral limit switch signals the drive 'off' in the event of an overload. Models are available to cover the torque range 10-2,500Nm and bore sizes up to 95mm.
